Hi, my name is
Roman Gold, I'm an Israeli VC and social entrepreneur.
And I'm a pretty typical anxious urbanized Ashkenazi, you know. So my emergency kit was prepared a long time ago. And it's been updated regularly. And revised. And revised once again.
Since the beginning of the operation "Swords of Iron," I've had a flood of questions from my friends on what an emergency kit should look like.
So I've prepared this page describing what (and why) I have in my kit.
However, I would like to draw your attention to three points:
1. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions. What works for me will not necessarily work for you. Think about each item you plan to add to your kit, do you really need it?
2. No emergency kit will make you stronger or more experienced. Its sole purpose is to keep you alive until the professionals arrive: medics, police, army. Wanna feel more capable? Practice. For example, enroll in a
first aid course at MADA.
3. We are all one family. If you see a neighbor in need of something in your kit, don't think twice. Share it with him. Who knows, it may be the very purpose of putting your kit together and being there for your brother or sister.
Next to each item in the kit is a link to the store where I bought it. I do not use any referral links and do not receive any commission for your purchase.
My only humble wish is that if you found this content helpful and you'd like to support our country in these tough times, please consider making a donation to one of the organizations helping Israel right now:
